Hey everyone! Just slinking in to say that he/him lesbians are absolutely 100% NOT valid! You need to identify as a woman to be a lesbian!

-Sincerely, your local lesbian, that is a woman, spitting facts. Bye now!

he him lesbians are:

  • women who use he/him pronouns and are also lesbians
  • nonbinary people who use he/him pronouns and are also lesbians

so uh yeah, they are valid actually :)

I didn’t want to respond to this, but as far as I’m concerned:

- a lesbian is a girl, who identifies as a girl, that likes girls. identifying as a girl means using she/her pronouns. if you use he/him pronouns, that is extremely confusing, and I’m only able to assume that you are just a straight man.

- “a woman who uses he/him pronouns” to me, that’s either a trans man or someone who is gender fluid. either way, a dude who likes girls is just straight. nothing else.

- if you are nonbinary, you do not identify with a specific gender. he/him is male; a gender. so if you are “nonbinary using he/him pronouns”, from an outside perspective, you’re just a dude.

so sweetie, please. he/him lesbians are just using spicy words in place of “straight”.

thx 😘😘 have a nice day! <3

So nothing but bullshit TERF rhetoric…

love the enthusiasm, thanks for responding! <3 i like your profile picture :)

Your attempt to be cute is transparent and pathetic. It’s not up to you to dictate how people identify themselves.

The panic over COVID-19 causing people to hoard shit unnecessarily means I can’t find medical supplies (like disinfecting alcohol wipes) without paying an obnoxiously exorbitant amount.

Generally healthy, able-bodied people don’t need masks, exam gloves, or alcohol swabs to protect themselves against COVID-19. But chronically ill people and their caretakers do need those supplies to live their everyday lives.

Calm the fuck down and wash your fucking hands, ableds.

Able-bodied people and not-chronically-ill people are encouraged to reblog this, whether or not you’re panicking over coronavirus.

Yes, you SHOULD stop using ‘q slur’ as a tag, it’s gross, demeaning, hurtful, and triggers a lot of queer people.

‘q word’ does none of this and also still allows people to black list the word queer if they need it black listed.

It’s actually possible to respect queer people while not exposing people to the word ‘queer’, and it’s by using ‘q word’ which doesn’t reduce people down to a slur, hurt them, demean  them or their identity, so consider respecting your local queer today by tagging things as ‘q word’ instead!

honey what i’m telling you is that q word is not a neutral alternative. especially when the slur has been adopted as a general way to refer to the lgbt community, especially in academia. just because you have decided that it doesn’t have any pain or discomfort for you, you can’t take that away from the rest of us. i usually see ‘q slur’ tagged in either discussion of it as a slur or when people erroneously refer to the lgbt community as the queer community so i don’t even think you could call it like. targeted erasure or anything. like i’m sorry, but You have chosen a word with very recent, tragic history and it’s not our jobs to get over that just because you personally have reclaimed it.

Yes it is. Go fuck yourself.

Also like, refusing to respect the fact that queer people are being triggered by you using ‘q slur’ is PROVING that you don’t actually give a fuck about protecting people from triggers. Literally all it’s saying is ‘I hate queers, and I’m going to use protecting people as an excuse to hurt them’.

how about people who are triggered and upset by that ugly word. we do not have to cater to your community when you have an active disregard for ours! and for many more people it IS a slur, something that has been spit at them in a derogatory way that they can never forget even if someone who has never heard it in a negative light thinks it’s just a fun identity with no connotation!

You don’t give a single actual honest shit about people who are triggered by the word queer. It’s not a slur for the people who associate themselves as queer (raises hand), so no, my existence is not a slur. And if we’re talking about words against others in anger and hatred, queer is not the only one. You’re just being an exclusionist, and doing an exceedingly pathetic job hiding it.

“exclusionists will leave you alone as long as you stay out of LGBT spaces”

Reblogging this again because I’m still thinking about it.

This is a perfect example of how much of a lie it is that exclusionists support ace and aro people as long as we “don’t try to infiltrate the LGBT community.” There is nothing in the original post about aspec discourse, inclusionists or exclusionists, or aspec issues at all. There just so happen to be a couple of pride pins visible in a post about the stickers I put on my desk.

And yet.

And yet someone felt the need to go out of their way to make a comment about how the aro and ace pins, tearing them down.

Ace and aro “discourse” isn’t some “friendly debate,” it’s a bunch of bigoted bullies harassing people over their orientation.

It’s time to stop calling it discourse and recognize it as what it is.

FUCKING THANK YOU.

Exclusionists keep showing their ass time and time again. Pathetic wankers.

This Pride Season: Black Trans Women are (Still) Dying

plannedparenthood:

By Kai Breaux, Organizer, Planned Parenthood of New York City

image

Muhlaysia Booker, 23 (left) and Tamika Washington, 40 (right)

The Pride that we celebrate today originated from the infamous Stonewall Riots. The Stonewall Inn, still in New York City’s Greenwich Village, was home to groups of queer and transgender folks normally prohibited from any other establishment. Bars that served queer and gender non-conforming customers faced denial of liquor licenses, so police regularly raided bars that welcomed these communities.

On June 28, 1969, the NYPD raided the Stonewall Inn, asking customers for ID and arresting them if they could not provide adequate identification. For trans and gender non-conforming bar goers whose sex on their IDs seemed incompatible with their gendered presentation, police automatically condemned them for identity theft or sodomy. Officers then forced these folks to strip and reveal their sex assigned at birth, only to arrest them if their genitals seemed to contradict their gender presentation.

Police systematically disregarded the fact that gender and genitals do not go hand in hand, and many people continue to disregard this fact.

The graphic below, the Gender Unicorn, can help us better understand the spectrum of masculinities and femininities in the western world.

via Trans Student Educational Resources

The exploitative physical, sexual and psychological assault of people who aren’t heterosexual cisgender men or cisgender women is rooted in the gender-sex binary. The gender-sex binary is the social construct that people born with penises must embrace hyper-masculinity and adopt the category ‘man’, while people born with vulvas must embrace hyper-femininity and adopt the category ‘woman.’ It is safe to say that the vast majority of people born in the West are marked with a binary gender identity before they are even born.

The gender-sex binary is oppressive to queer, trans and gender non-conforming people, and those who are not white are pushed even further to the margin.

From the beginning of colonialism, to the Stonewall Riots, to present day — transgender people and Black people face denial of their right to be recognized as fully human within this system.

When the NYPD raided the Stonewall Inn, queer folks stood their ground. In response to this violent exploitation of power rooted in the fear of non-normativity, they threw coins and broken bottles at officers and a riot quickly ensued. Marsha P. Johnson, a Black transfeminine drag queen, and Sylvia Rivera, a transfeminine Latina, have gone down in history as playing a primary role in these riots and in New York City’s gay liberation movement. In Rivera’s honor, Dean Spade founded the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, an organization that primarily provides legal services to marginalized LGBTQI+ folks of color.

If these women, and many more, were key in LGBTQI+ liberation, why do Pride campaigns and events today center privileged, white, gay cisgender men?

Why is the life expectancy of Black and brown trans women in the U.S. just 35 years old?

Why were five Black transgender women brutally murdered in the few short months of 2019?

On May 18th, a Black transgender woman named Muhlaysia Booker was shot and killed in Dallas, Texas at only 23 years old. According to her Facebook page, Muhalysia worked as an entertainer and was a student at Louisiana State University. In April of 2019, Muhlaysia was violently beaten on video by a cisgender Black man while others egged on the assault. This video went viral on social media. She attended a rally the week after her assault to highlight the trend of violence women like her consistently face.

Michelle “Tamika” Washington, 40, another Black transgender woman, was killed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the day after Muhlaysia’s murder. According to her Facebook page, Tamika was a student who studied nursing at the Community College of Philadelphia.

The reality is that Black and brown trans people, especially transgender women, face the highest rates of murder in the United States today. The world watched while Muhlaysia’s life was threatened, and we failed to protect her. Due to misgendering in police reports and unreported murders, there are likely several others who were lynched this year at the hands of hatred and bigotry. And yet, they are rarely given the proper light during the month of June.

This Pride season, I ask you to honor those who led the queer liberation movement and uplift those without access to care and safety. Have conversations with your families and friends, humanize those at the margin, and donate directly to those asking for help. Help Black trans women survive. Pay for their transportation, donate to their education, and offer items that contribute to the means of survival. Much of this can be done by donating to and sharing their online fundraisers, directly buying art or clothes, and connecting them with childcare, health care and job opportunities.

As you celebrate Pride this month, revisit the reasons Pride began, honor those we have lost, and make a pledge to uplift the most marginalized.

No offense but women should be allowed to talk about the horrible effects makeup had on their self esteem and how the beauty industry in general affects women in general without having to put ten thousand disclaimers coddling the feelings of women who like winged eyeliner

OP: #stole this post from a terf😛

And then the notes both condemning it as some terf shit and thanking the lack of originality. Liberal feminism is so wack :/

hjdfdfhjggjjknjhnnh and OP’s other semi famous post being like “unfortunately makeup is a tool of survival for trans and cis women” ASFHJJK just say whatever gives you notes I guess 😛

Why am I not surprised? Like, at all?

I also want to make it abundantly clear this is why people say “fuck cops” and why “Blue Lives Matter” is bullshit. It may only be a “handful” of corrupt cops (which is also bullshit) but it’s the entire institution behind them that enables them and refuses to take any form of accountability. Every single cop is complicit. Every single one.

I know a lot of you dont want to hear this but In The Now is NOT. A reputable news network. Couldnt find any information on them online, or even who owns and created thus piece of information. Officers names arent even listed. This may be Russian propaganda.

I know yall wont listen to me bc it directly correlates with what you want to hear.

Shut your ass up.

A few thoughts on the James Charles situation:

1). It’s frustrating that people of colour and trans folks have been calling out his awful behaviour for years and no one cared but the minute a cis white woman says something he actually suffers consequences.

2). I hate that people are framing it as only bad because he’s doing it to straight guys like no??? It’s bad because pressuring someone into sexual things is bad, even if he was doing it to other gay guys, using his fame to manipulate like that is not okay. And talking about it like “omg leave straight guys alone” only reinforces homophobic stereotypes. It’s bad because he’s a predator and manipulator, not because he flirted with a straight person.

3). Why is the bigger focus on some fucking hair pills like yeah okay, he betrayed his friend but the predatory stuff is clearly more important?

4). All his friends/peers now saying they’ve noticed creepy stuff about him for ages now, like then why the fuck didn’t you say anything? Even Tati waited until he had pissed her off personally before exposing him. Sorry, but if he’s an actual predator then you owe it to people to say something. And half of these people definitely have a big enough platform to do something.

5). One of the victims literally made a video last week explaining his whole experience, I barely saw anyone talking about it and half of those who did were saying James probably just misread the signals/this guy led him on. Waaay to support victims there folks.
